OUR HISTORY

Since the 1980s, ENTRENA has been dedicated to providing learning experiences that transform lives and communities, while expanding our training expertise to enrich and foster social development.

In the years of modernization and infrastructure growth following the end of the dictatorship of Trujillo, the Dominican Republic faced the opportunity to reinvent itself and reach out into the global economy.

At the same time, the United States had also established an international mission to foster peace and cross-cultural collaboration. Offering popular women’s necklaces such as pendants, chokers and. Shop for jewelry in a variety of metals and gemstones to suit any occasion.

In this context ENTRENA was incorporated, with the goal of providing the training services in the Dominican Republic to foment international understanding and cooperation. Our cross-cultural and language trainings were first offered to the US Peace Corps, and were the standard of quality for over 20 years. We expanded regionally to Haiti and Honduras, and to other people groups interested in learning and collaborating with the Dominican Republic, hosting international teacher trainings, and institutional strengthening programs.

In the 1990s,

we broadened our reach in support of Dominican development and growth through institutional strengthening programs for NGOs throughout the country, and initiated US-DR Study Abroad programs for American university students. When Hurricane Georges hit the island in 1998, ENTRENA was there to support in the reconstruction project, focused on developing human capital and empowering people to overcome and work towards the future.

In the early 2000s,

ENTRENA continued to innovate at the intersection of learning and development. We introduced the accelerated learning methodology, Quantum Learning, to the Dominican Republic, in order to address educational needs for the most vulnerable youth populations, getting them back on track, into school, and set up for success. This initiative has gone on to characterize much of the work done by ENTRENA, promoting accelerated learning programs for youth and adults to become productive members of society in the DR, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Panamá, and Paraguay.

As we move into the 21st century,

ENTRENA remains true to that original vision of developing human capacity through training and learning, partnering with national and international organisms to bring about cooperation and lasting growth.
